The PhD program “Doctoral Research in Economics and Management of Technology” (DREAMT) was newly founded in 2013 (29th ‘cycle’), as the continuation of the PhD program DREAM (University of Pavia) and the PhD program DEMT (University of Bergamo).
The DREAMT PhD program is run by the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Pavia, and by the Department of Management, Information and Production Engineering of the University of Bergamo. The Departments of Engineering and of Sciences and methods of engineering of the University of Modena e Reggio Emilia cooperate with the University of Pavia in funding a scholarship for the 29th cycle on the themes of Life-Cycle-Management methodology. The 7pixel Company funds two scholarships for the 29th cycle. Eupolis Lombardia, ABB Italy, GDM SPA, and Warrant Group Italy fund one scholarship each, for the 30th cycle. RES Srl and Officina dell'innovazione S.c.a.r.l. fund one scholarship each, for the 31st cycle. In addition, there exists a collaboration with the Department of Economics of the University Insubria and with the Department of Economics, management and quantitative methods of the University of Milan. The international network is a fundamental feature of the DREAMT PhD program. Some agreements with foreign Universities are already active: Sussex University (UK); ICADE Madrid (Spain); University of Vaasa (Finland); University of Valencia (Spain); Syddansk Universitet (Denmark); University of Glasgow (Scotland); Universidad Autonoma de Madrid; CERIS-CNR of Turin; networks HERMES and COBEREN.
DREAMT qualifies as a PhD program working on fields at the intersection between management and applied economics, and it is particularly devoted to innovation, technology, corporate governance, strategy, organization, finance, logistics, and local development.
